There are many dietary supplements in the marketplace, but there is one that is taking some of the country by storm, said Gloria Buxbaum, Sidney. Mangosteen juice has been a dietary supplement juice in the United States for the past five years. Currently, it is available across the entire country along with several different countries around the world. The juice itself is made from the mangosteen fruit, which is a very delicate fruit and is called “the queen of fruit,” Buxbaum, owner of the Carpenter’s Storehaus, said. The fruit is grown in several different countries, but was found first in Thailand. The fruit, which contains xanthones, is so delicate that it’s usually not imported to this country in the form of a fruit because of this, Buxbaum said. In the juice, the whole mangosteen fruit is used, Buxbaum said. “The rind is very bitter, but it has the most xanthones, or healing properties,” she said. So they grind up the whole fruit, rind and all, and have made a very tasty juice. People who are taking it have seen improvements in their physical lives. Buxbaum herself has been using the juice for the past two years. She heard about the juice from a radio ad. After getting all the information she needed about the juice, she decided to wait. “Once I got the juice and started drinking it, I could have kicked myself for waiting for six months,” she said. Since starting to use the mangosteen juice, she said she started to see a difference. She feels like she has her life back again. “Before I started using the juice, I couldn’t keep up with all my yard work, so I had to downsize my garden,” Buxbaum said. But since starting to use the juice, she said that she was amazed at the amount of energy she had and has since enlarged her garden.
